The villa is situated in an area that offers the colour and beauty of the italian countryside, at only 4 km from the baroque city centre of Lecce. Avoid the city traffic, the noise and the crowd, relax in the shade of palm trees, sunbathe, immerse yourself in an acre of garden and olive groves, discover the surrounding countryside trying one of the many routes we have locally. If you want to venture out, you could take a trip to the nearest beaches at S. Isidoro or Porto Cesareo which are only 20 minutes (17/20 km) away by car. The drive will give you the opportunity to discover the region in a very different way.

We are in a central and strategic position between Lecce and the Ionian sea. From the villa you will be able to drive around and enjoy a different place or beach every day. Normally our guests, do not realize that we are in a very strategic position until they get here, so close to the center of Lecce and the sea. We are also at a short distance from Lecce's ring road so that you can now easily reach (fast and easy drive through the motorway) all the main touristic destination like Otranto, Gallipoli, Ostuni, S.M. di Leuca with no needs to change accommodation every so and so. If you are new to the area we also think that you need at least 2 or 3 days to get an idea of what the south Salento has to offer.

Our tastefully decorated room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bathroom met a similarly high standard. In addition to the lovely garden, there was a table and chairs outside our room where we frequently sat and enjoyed conversations with Andrea. His mother is an excellent cook and we relished the different treats she prepared for us each morning. The atmosphere at Villa Giuliana is very relaxed. It truly felt like we were staying with friends. As people traveling by car, we felt that Villa Giuliana was a better base for the region than Lecce proper. We had easy access to the city, but didn't have to worry about parking or traffic. It was very easy to get to Otranto (not to be missed), Santa Maria di Leuca, and Gallipoli. While excellent restaurants abound in Lecce, there is also a charming restaurant even closer to Villa Giuliana, the Locanda degli Artisti in Arnesano -- a completely authentic little town.
