Tullia Maffei Lynch grew up speaking Italian; her parents came from the Italian Alps in the Trentino Alto-Adige region of Italy. She has taught Italian in several high schools, and has worked as a writer and translator for Banca della Svizzera Italiana in New York. She currently teaches Italian for the University of Virginia School of Continuing and Professional Studies, and organizes trips uniquely to the Italian Alps where many of her relatives still live. That is why she characterizes her trips as "Traveling as if you have family there".
The Company is solely run by Tullia Maffei Lynch who is dedicated to introducing a part of Italy (the Trentino/Alto-Adige) that few Americans know in a way that few Americans experience. Helped by an entourage of local friends and relatives, she believes that to truly experience this area is to stay in one place and enjoy the simplicity of strolling along the town’s main streets and greeting people with a "Buongiorno!". There is only one hotel change, no red-eye early morning departures. The focus is on taking things easy –Italian style. The activities are varied so that both the cultural heritage and natural beauty of the region are experienced.
