Carol and Martin Noval have lived in India for more than 25 years and have been leading cultural and adventure tours and treks in India and the Himalayas since 1998.
We are veteran trekkers and explorers of the India and Nepal Himalayas and were some of the first foreigners to visit the tribal lands of Kinnaur and Spiti when they were opened to the outside world. We lead small group treks in Zanskar, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, assisted by excellent local crew members from Zanskar, Kinnaur and the Kullu Valley.
We speak Hindi and are knowledgeable about most things Indian: history, philosophy, Hinduism and Buddhism, myth, art and architecture, culture and customs, literature, traditional medicine and yoga, and wildlife. We've explored and studied the famous attractions and little-known wonders of this ancient but still-living culture, and lived among people from the many social, cultural and historical backgrounds that are the Indian nation. |
