Our company has been a registered company since 2002. It provides
interpretive bushwalks in the Northern part of Sydney. This area is well known for its bushland reserves many of which are easily accessed by public transport. The name Boronia name comes from the Boronia plant. There are several species which are native to Sydney. It is an attractive small shrub with pink flowers which is a feature of the Sydney bushland from late winter to late Spring.
All walks are researched and led by Jennifer Farrer – a Sydney
resident–whose knowledge and interests are Sydney’s early European history and Sydney’s unique flora. The tours are designed to highlight these particular aspects of the Sydney experience. One of Jennifer’s special interests is native Plants used by the Early European Settlers at Sydney Cove. Many of these plants can be seen on the walks.
A walk with us can be targeted to suit any age and interest. We have provided the Guided Walks Program for Baulkham Hills Shire Council since September 2004. This program of interpretive bushwalks in
Council reserves targets local residents. The walks include birdwatching, spotlighting and Aboriginal Heritage walks as well as nature and history walks.
Interpretive bushwalks are also provided for social groups such as Probus clubs, other municipal councils, the Workers Education Authority (Sydney’s premier adult education provider) and independent travelers. Walks for children are organized for school holiday programs and birthday parties.
