1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?

We have been operating since 2004, when we established the first fitness, weight-loss and activity holiday company based in Spain.

To provide active vacations for people seeking to improve their health and fitness, whatever their current level: Whether they are starting out on the road to losing significant weight; or want to be able to compete or participate in their chosen sport or activities at a higher level; or just want an active vacation with a healthy menu and varied programme in one of the most beautiful parts of Europe.

They help clients to get into shape or improve their performance and give them the knowledge and confidence to continue to work towards their own health and fitness goals. Thanks so much for a fantastic 2 weeks! I can't believe how much I achieved, and I've returned to gray and miserable London with a fresh perspective ... view more of life and renewed energy. This was exactly the change/rejuvenation I needed, and I feel like a new person. The best part is that I have been able to continue with the good things I learned about diet and fitness on the programme and it feels sustainable, and I'm really enjoying the healthy lifestyle and keeping the weight off and fitness up. Massive thanks, Mel, for organizing everything and also to DTD and Trui for being magnificent trainers and for being so patient with my many questions. Huge thanks also to Lissa for her practical and pragmatic sessions, which were terrific and have really helped to embed the positive learning I experienced on the course into my day-to-day life. While it's impossible to replicate the programme back home in London with work etc., I feel I've left with practical and sustainable techniques for a much happier and healthier life. The main positive for me is what I learned from the personal trainers during my time in Antequerra and ... view more I have tried to put some of it into practice since I have been back. I am starting my first Yoga class on Saturday (as a result of trying it out in Antequerra). I have also recently purchased a foam roller as I would like to repeat some of the SMR exercises to relieve my tight muscles. I haven't forgotten how painful my massage was! I am eating a lot healthier too and trying new foods like Qui Noa. I am certainly noticing the benefits. All of these things I probably would not have done were it not for my experiences in Antequerra. Thank you to you all for your coaching and advice during my stay. Hopefully, I will be able continue the positive changes I have made already.

The program and ... view more activities were just as I had remembered them and it was a pleasure working with and learning from Mel and Janina. The hotel was excellent: very comfortable and friendly service. It is really nice how especially the restaurant staff are so welcoming and personable and the food was good with lots of things to choose from so we did not become bored with it.

My husband had a wonderful time as well. He even admitted to me, `I never thought a fitness break could be so fun!` He is much more fit than me and he was pleasantly surprised that the program was so well -differentiated so that even on the hikes and bike trips there were challenges for both the fit and `less fit` guests. This is an excellent way to spend a holiday: we had fun, laughed a lot, ate well, made new friends, spent time outdoors in beautiful surroundings and we came home in better shape than when we left!

When I came to this company I had lost all confidence in myself, and did not think anything could get me up out of the vicious circle I had spiraled into (too ... view more much food, too little exercise etc). By the time my two weeks in Antequera were over I can truly say that I had become a new person - and a younger one, as my metabolic age had fallen down into my 20s where it belongs.

The weeks were in fact so good that I decided to stay for two more - and by the end of the month I felt so good that I dread to think where I would have been without them. If you need a kickstart - this is for you! Mel and Janina will push you hard in the gym, tailor-made exercises for every fitness level will give quick results and the delicious healthy food will teach you, hands-on, what your body really needs to work. The sessions with Lissa were very intense, but I learned a lot - good tips and tricks to keep me going after the safety of the program was gone once back home again.

Yoga, walks and Pilates in the morning was a lovely way to limber up - and really appreciate your porridge. I was, as many participants, very nervous about the bike rides, but learned to love them soon enough. Sure, when cycling up a tough hill in mud and rain I cursed the seat and life itself - but once the results started showing and I grew stronger, I sort of welcomed the pain strangely enough.

The hikes are a chapter to themselves; David, Mike and Janina are excellent guides and really taught us well about the environment we tumbled about in. The nature is breathtaking, and everywhere you look it´s like standing in a masterpiece. So, please, if you are reading this and wondering if this is for you - don´t think, just do! You will never regret it, you will make lifelong friends and you will spend time in the beautiful Andalucian magic that is Antequera! Whatever your story, they will make it better - and healthier too!
