Started in the year 2000 our company has grown to be recognized as one of the fast growing indigenous owed safari companies in Kenya. The Directors Eunice Koome and Justin Chianda boast of many years of experience in the tourism industry. Eunice has been in the industry for 15 years while Justin has been at it for 25 years.

While Eunice is the engine behind the smooth running of the office making sure your inquiries are handled professionally and promptly, Justin is out making sure nothing is left to chance for our clients as he personally escorts most of our safari.

Being members of ASTA (American Society Of Travel Agents) means that our clients feel safe as they are dealing with a local but yet internationally recognized tour operator and are rest assured that they are in good hands so to speak.

Locally we are registered with the Ministry of Tourism, the regulating body for all tourism and travel related business. We are also members of the East African Wildlife Club and we are also Members of Kenya Association of Tour Operators (KATO) The tourism Industry regulating body in Kenya.

Our mission is to leave lasting good memories in our clients holiday experiences.

3. What does your company specialize in?

We offer wildlife, beach, honeymoon, walking, Gorillas, mountaineering safaris for groups, families and individuals. These safaris can be done using lodge, luxury tented camps or budget camping within Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?

Eunice Koome is the founder. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology from the University Of Nairobi and a Diploma in Tourism Management from Career Training Centre. She has been in the Tourism business for the last 18 years and worked for Game Trackers Kenya for 7 years before founding her own company. She is an active member of Kenya Association of Tour Operators {KATO]and American Society of Travel Agents [ASTA].

		Imagine yourself sitting in front of your computer and trying to organize your vacation in Kenya. What seems to be easy work at first quickly becomes an arduous ... view more job. Many hotels, tours and all train rides cannot be booked online. They require that you either give them a phone call or send a letter. But you are seven time zones away and have to have the confirmation within less than a week. I was only moments away from complete desperation, when I found M16801 on the internet. It took Eunice Koome and her certified team only two days to arrange everything to my greatest satisfaction: they booked a cozy hotel at the foot of Mount Killimanjaro, ordered and paid in advance the tickets for the night train between Nairobi and Mombasa and when there showed me every detail of Nairobi while driving me safely through the packed streets of the capital. Without Eunice\'s assistance, my trip to Kenya wouldn\'t have been as enjoyable and successful as it was. Maybe, you are more interested in the people and the culture of Kenya and less in the perfect organization of your vacation. You have special reasons for working with Designer Travel.
