For over 20 years, M17077 has been the north country's premier recreational dog mushing center and the nation's only lodge devoted exclusively to dog sledding. Founded and directed by arctic adventurer Paul Schurke, recipient of the Explorers Club Award and Outside Magazine's Adventurer of the Year award, M17077 has been cited as 'best in the business' by National Geographic Adventure magazine and ranked among the "Top 10 Adventure Travel Bargains of 2007".

We began offering dogsled trips in 1979 as a means of providing a winter wilderness recreation opportunity for persons with disabilities.

M17077 strives to present wilderness dogsled experiences as an enjoyable and rewarding form of winter recreation rather than as an exercise in winter survival.

M17077 is the nation’s oldest and largest recreational dogsledding center.

Paul Schurke, recipient of the “Explorers Award” from the World Center for Exploration, recipient of the “Outdoors Person of the Year” award from Outside Magazine, author of 2 books on dogsled adventures.
