This company has more than 100 years dedicated to river transportation. It was founded in 1901 by Adolfo Morey Arias, who was one of the pioneers of navigation by river. Representing the family Morey, Mr. Adolfo Ignacio Morey Silva, who inherited the knowledge and skills of Morey’s family. “El Arca” was acquired 25 years ago. “El Arca” is made of iron and its foundations of wood and iron. This ship represents what the typical Amazon boat is, since its design was inspired by the rubber period in Iquitos. It was rebuilt in 1988 and reshaped for more comfort in 2001.
This ship has a capacity for 22 passengers who will stay comfortable in cabins with air conditioning, their own bathrooms, comfortable beds, and windows with a beautiful view on the river. These cabins are made of mahogany and cedar. There is a dining room with air conditioning where passengers will be able to enjoy delicious dishes typical of the Amazon rainforest and prepared by the hands of a cook who has 15 years of experience in the gastronomy of Loreto. The ship has a bar with a selection of spirits and beers. There you will be able to taste drinks and cocktails typical of Peru. On the third deck “El Arca” has a hall for hammocks. There you will be able to rest and enjoy the Amazonian breeze. In the prow the boat has a viewing point where you will enjoy the Amazonian sunrise and sunset.
During the trip we count on a working team specialized in attention to the tourists. The team will assist the tourists every time that they will ask for it. We have bilingual guides (English/Spanish) who are well knowledge about the Peruvian rainforest, have 15 years of experience, and know the benefits and dangers of entering the dense Amazon forest.
