1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?

Founded in March 2003, M17546 offers the enthusiasm of a relatively new agency, with the experience of our capable and professional bi-lingual staff. Based in Cusco, the former capital of the Incas we have a direct link to the diverse aspects of the culture and the history of the country of Peru — and the best local contacts. Our other office is based in Buenos Aires, in the Belgrano neighborhood. With reliable local contacts from North till South, we arrange your visits to the unforgettable waterfalls of Iguazu, the cities of Mendoza, Cordoba, Salta, Bariloche and amazing Patagonia. We also have good connections with travel agencies in Chile, Montevideo and Bolivia. From the main office situated in the Netherlands, many types of travel packages, tours and even educational courses and volunteer placements are being organized through a well-established network of partners for almost every other country in Central and South America.

Provide unique and long lasting memories to our travel passengers, volunteers and students participating in our total immersion and Spanish programs, always assuring a professional and quality service. At Dos Manos we firmly believe in responsible tourism and treating our local staff and the local environment with the respect it deserves, and therefore always follow the ‘leave no trace’ rules on all of our treks and tours to remote places. Furthermore, we only work with reputable volunteer organizations and Spanish Schools and third party travel organizations to guarantee an unforgettable experience.

3. What does your company specialize in?

Dos Manos is known as a leading organization for organizing alternative travel packages in South America, customized to everyone's interest, schedule and budget. We also specialize in arranging volunteer work placements and study Spanish courses. Our volunteering projects in Latin America are focused on building trust and support within communities that could not manage on their own. Our Spanish Schools in Latin America are all well established and carefully chosen to teach you the magnificent Spanish language. Travel, live and volunteer in South America where you get to make a significant difference for the less fortunate, while you learn Spanish, meet the locals and enjoy the experience of being fully immersed in the rich culture of South America.

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?

The founders are a couple from the Netherlands and Peru. Owners of a number of Spanish Language Institutes with its in-house travel agencies at top locations in Peru and Argentina. First Spanish School in Cusco, Peru with Dos Manos Travel Agency as an official Inca Trail Operator. The office in Buenos Aires has been organizing travel packages for years all over Argentina and with the support from the main office in the Netherlands, customized travel, volunteer and education packages are being offered throughout Central and South America through a well-established affiliate network.

5. What is your most popular travel package and why?

The Inca Trail, with Machu Picchu as its final destination, is our most popular travel package. The total hike is about 45km and it takes four days altogether, including a one day visit to the ruins. The natural scenery is breath-taking. With views of snowcapped mountains, the cloud forest and hiking between stunningly preserved ruins, it is truly an unforgettable experience. Dos Manos Travel Agency in Peru is an official Inca Trail Operator and have guided tourists for many years on spectacular treks and excursions through the Andean Highlands.
