A 100% success rate at finding fossils, since 2008!! Experience the thrill of discovery yourself! The M17669 has the largest collection of marine reptile fossils in Canada. The feature exhibit at the museum is "Bruce", Canada's largest mosasaur (43').

This Sea Monster collection is displayed in our 16,000 sq foot museum in the town of Morden, southern Manitoba, Canada. Our huge fossil collection has been discovered on the Manitoba Escarpment, a land formation that surrounds the Town of Morden. Canada's largest Sea Monster fossil collection continues to grow. Our exhibits are revised on a continual basis!

The Morden area (and most of Manitoba) was once covered by prehistoric seaway. The Western Interior Seaway is commonly referred to as the most dangerous seaway of all time. It is from this environment that we find our amazing Sea Monster fossils.

1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?

Since 1971. Community wanted a historical museum collecting local heritage objects. 1972 began collecting fossils from the local bentonite mines.

CFDC Board of Directions. Non-profit organization with Morden, MB. Current location since 1982.

5. What is your most popular travel package and why?

Our most popular travel package is the 1/2 Dig Tour, as it allows travellers the morning to get to Morden, and a full afternoon at the core of what we represent: the collection and preservation of fossils.

6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?

"It's truly amazing what you've accomplished here with so little [funding]. We can't wait to see the new building and we'll make sure that we come back with many new friends!"
