M17679 was founded by a group of professional photographers with the sole purpose of conducting intimate photography workshops in the world’s most unique places. We believe that bringing small groups together with pro-photographers in a dynamic and less traveled locations around the globe is key to a cultural, educational and adventurous photographic experience.
We travel and photograph places “off the beaten path” at the optimum time of the year for photography as well as schedule our daily itineraries for shooting during the perfect times of the day. Since we keep our groups small, we are able to customize our workshops for the individual, ensuring that all of our attendees expand their photo skills regardless of their level. We also combine our Global Photography Quests with adventurous activities such as camping in the Sahara Desert, hiking in Bhutan and kayaking in Chile, as well as offer a variety of Specialty Quests in the classroom including studio lighting, off-camera flash and hands on Photoshop CS3 classes.
At M17679 we strongly believe in doing our part to protect the earth and it’s people to preserve our environment especially in the locations we are lucky enough to visit and photograph. By partnering with Sustainable Travel International, we intend to use our travels and photography in a way that supports the people and countries we visit with the ultimate goal of providing them with long range environmental, socio-cultural and economic benefits. We are an environmentally conscious company.
Our contribution to the countries and people we visit will not only include sustainable travel and carbon-offsetting, but will also include donating 1% of our revenue to local schools, communities, orphanages and various charities.
