The name of the company owner is Freddy Paredes. Our Language School has been operating for 17 years in the historical center of Quito. We are a language school which teaches a wide range of languages but more commonly we focus on teaching English and Spanish combined with tours, excursions and cultural lessons. Upon completion of the language course, students receive a certificate from the Education Department of Ecuador. We also provide accommodation in hotels or with home stay families.

The owner, Freddy Paredes, has 17 years experience teaching Spanish to foreigners. He is also a computer instructor and is involved in various social projects to help the disadvantaged and the local and national indigenous population. Our business number is: 2853. 1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?

M17777 was started in 1993 at the present address in Quito, calle Venezuela N7 – 31 Olmedo, by Freddy Paredes who gave Spanish lessons to foreign tourists. Quito Antiguo Spanish school was started and is located still today in a beautiful Spanish colonial style building.

2. What is your company's mission?

The company’s mission is the promotion and proliferation of the Spanish language, giving foreign students of Spanish an understanding of Ecuadorian culture and way of life as well as the support of social projects in Ecuador and the conservation of the rainforest.

3. What does your company specialize in?

M17777 specializes in giving qualified Spanish classes to foreign students of all levels (all Spanish teachers have university degrees and dispose of at least 5 years profesional experience in teaching Spanish). Apart from the Spanish lessons, we offer cooking and Salsa classes as well as excursions to local markets We also provide foreign language classes such as English, German, etc. for Ecuadorians. Furthermore, we offer foreign students of Spanish a study/travel program to beautiful places in Ecuador such as Otavalo, Mindo, Baños, las islas Gálapagos, the Ecuadorian coast and the Amazon rainforest. Students are accompanied by their Spanish teachers and study Spanish while traveling and enjoying the beautiful nature and diversity of Ecuador. We also offer package tours to the above-named places provided by local tour operators

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?

Freddy Paredes is the founder and owner of the company. He has a university degree in Spanish literature, educational science and informatics with more than 20 years of experience in teaching Spanish to foreign students and organizing travel programs.
