Established in 1997, M17809 started out by conducting shore excursion tours for cruise ship passengers, and has continued to provide that service to this day, fulfilling various assignments for a variety of shore excursion operators in Halifax.
Generally speaking, these excursions/tours travel within a 90 mile radius of Halifax and can be designed to include visits and/or stops at a variety of locales such as Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, Grand Pré and the Annapolis Valley in addition to including a tour of Halifax tailored to the individual group.
From 1998 to 2002, M17809 was contracted to supply a City Tour Guide for Double Decker Tours of Halifax. These tours consisted of three - one and a half hour city tours per day from June through to October each year.
In 1999, M17809 began escorting tour groups from the United States for two Cape Cod tour wholesalers. These assignments usually began in Maine and then toured through Canada's Maritime provinces before returning to Maine.
In 2003, M17809 began working in conjunction with the Dartmouth Senior Citizens Club and other seniors' groups in metro Halifax by developing, designing and conducting both one day and multi-day excursions from Halifax. Over time the itineraries began to include other Maritime Provinces and New England as well.
Our association with Action Tours (The Airporter Inc.) continues, which means that we have preferred access to a variety of vehicles with varying seating capacities thus assuring our ability to offer a wide variety of touring options, including half and/or one day outings, full shore excursions and multi-day trips for groups of all sizes!
In late 2007, M17809 purchased an eight passenger van which can accommodate 6-7 people for one day excursions, and 4-6 people for multi-day journeys. We believe this addition will only enhance our flexibility of service.
