1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
We start our school business in April 2003 so almost about 12 years ago.
2. What is your company's mission?
We want to inspire and enable our students to 'love to learn' designing travel packages for young people eager to develop their Spanish languages skills while benefiting from an exciting variety of cultural and social activities.
3. What does your company specialize in?
In addition to running all year round Spanish language courses we specialize in Junior and Teenager Vacation Courses (1 & 2 & 3 week Summer Multi-Activity Program), International Summer Camps for kids and teenagers and Spanish plus Sport Programs (Diving, Windsurfing, Sailing, Riding, Tennis, Multi-Sports and Golf) and Spanish Study Tours.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Mr.Vico is the founder of M17834. He has a strong interest in foreign languages and in raising the awareness of others to languages and cultures from the world. Mrs. Vico holds a 'Licenciatura' from Universidad de Granada, Spain and an MBA from Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, Spain. He has seventeen years of experience as a high school teacher and curriculum specialist both in Spain and at The New York City Board of Education. He was also a Spanish Professor at Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus in the USA. Other languages: French.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
International Summer Camps for kids and teenagers is our most popular package because we are mingling Spanish and foreign students within the same campus. Our unique concept in Spanish learning ensures total interaction with Spanish students of their own age combined with exciting and stimulating activities together with high quality structured Spanish/English Language Courses. Our International Summer Camps are open from five year-olds right to older teenagers and we provide round-the-clock care and supervision in a fun, friendly and safe environment.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
Enrolling in language classes at M17834 has not only benefited me in learning Spanish, but also served as an incredible resource to Spain and its amazing lifestyle. Growing up in Florida, USA gives me an innate love for the beach, but didn’t prepare me for the beautiful landscape of Almunecar. You have the Mediterranean Sea literally down the street (a 5 minute walk from the school) and a backdrop of the Sierra Nevada all around you. It’s safe, lively and warm all year!. While I had other choices of language schools, I chose CICA because the professors have excellent credentials (and a proven history of successful language training) and the school has the best connections to extra-curricular activities.
