M17934 is located just south of Kruger National Park, South Africa and close to the borders of Swaziland and Mozambique. The reserve was formerly used for cattle ranching but through the 1990's various game species were reintroduced. Through co-operation with neighbouring farmers additional land was obtained and today the reserve has 4000 hectares (11000 acres of land). Lion, leopard, elephant and rhino's are four of the "big 5" guests can currently see at Kwa Madwala with buffalo to be reintroduced by 2010.
Our primary business is Manyatta Rock Camp a 4 star luxury game lodge situated on a large rocky outcrop with stunning views across the African bush. The secondary business is the operation of gap year programs for undergraduates, postgraduates and those simply wishing to take some time out and learn about eco-tourism within a private game reserve setting in South Africa. Gap programs are open to all and vary in length from 28 day to 84 days with board and lodging provided on the reserve at Gazebo Lodge.
