1  Mrs Vesenberger Baltic Bespoke tour. 2009-11-16
Overall, I give the trip a solid A, maybe even an A+. The countryside is beautiful, the history and architecture are amazing, we had great weather, (sunshine ... view more every day) the accommodations were very good, and, for the most part, the drivers and guides were good.

The walking tour guide, Yolita, in Vilnius, and the driver/guide, Linis in Lithuania were the Starts!!! Yolita was very pleasant, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She gave us a lot of background on the history of the old city, and recommended the best places to eat, and the shop that had the best amber! Linis was very flexible and relaxed, willingly drove us where we wanted to go, and was happy to explain things to us in very understandable English. He took us to the Hill of Crosses and also to Rundale Palace, and made the drive from Vilnius to Riga very pleasant.

All in all, it was a wonderful trip, and I would recommend the destination as well as your agency to any traveler who wanted a great travel experience in the somewhat under-promoted Baltic Countries. I hope that you will pass along our praise of their services to Yolita, Linis, Giina and Merle. They contributed greatly to our enjoyment and to the best use of our short time in each city. Thank you for all your efforts in helping us with the trip and accommodating our requests!

2  J Mellor Poland bespoke tour. Kracow and Zakopane 2009-11-16
Our four days in Krakow coincided with constant summer weather, so we spent lots of time sitting outdoors at cafés and restaurants, sampling bigos, borsch, ... view more Zywiec, etc. We particularly enjoyed the restaurant “Orient Ekspres” on Stolarska, and also “Miod Malina“ on Grodzka: in both cases, we sat in a delightful garden courtyard at the back.

We strolled around the central streets a lot, climbed the Town Hall Tower, toured the Salt Mines (truly astounding, even though I have been there before), went to a piano recital in the Church of SS Peter and Paul, watched the ceremonial opening of the Veit Stoss alterpiece (our timing was purely by chance!), listened to the bugle call, travelled on the trams a few times, visited the Botanical Gardens, the Dom Mehoffera museum, Kazimierz, etc.

In Zakopane on the Saturday, we walked along Dolina Bialego to the summit of Sarnia Skala then back along Dolina Strazyska – the views were fantastic. But, we missed out on a second walk because it rained all day on the Sunday! I could hardly believe how busy Zakopane was, but in fact there was a festival that weekend and also the dry-slope ski-jumping competition was being held there, so it was busier than usual. Despite the large number of people crowding the streets, we managed to bump into someone from Shropshire who Chris knows through work – it’s a small world sometimes!

Marcin, your guide, did an excellent job as our driver, chatting with us about life in Poland and coping admirably with the congested traffic between Krakow and Zakopane. The hotels were both excellent, especially the Litwor where we dined all three evenings. We particularly appreciated the special balcony in our room at the Litwor – most other rooms had an open-air balcony, but ours was enclosed like a small conservatory, which was a great bonus during the rain!

We had a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable holiday – thank you very much for your help with arranging it.

The holiday was fabulous. Everything worked like clockwork. The drivers were there to pick us up from airports, boat and train. The guides were excellent, met ... view more us on time and looked after us very well. They spoke excellent English and gave us a good insight into everything including the history of the places they showed us. They couldn\\\'t have been more helpful. Having our own personal guides and not having to tag onto large groups made it so much better.

We loved the hotels with their unique styles and great locations. Their staff were very helpful. The various tours were very, very interesting and well planned and we had a good mix of \\\"old town\\\" and trips out to the countryside. The mix of tours and free time was just right. Over all it was a great package and far exceeded our expectations. We had a most memorable holiday and we can\'t thank you enough for organising it so well for us.

Many thanks again,

Excellent service from Baltic Holidays, we would definitely recommend them and would use them again. They kept us informed and updated and were very helpful. ... view more The total package was five star, from the choice of hotels to the extras we had in the way of tour guide and taxi transfer from airport to hotel.
I hope this goes some way to getting you rated.
Thank you so much again, your personal touch is much appreciated. We hope to travel with you again.

5  F Kranz Baltic Bespoke Vacation with Baltic Holidays 2009-04-24
Starting in Helsinki (Finland), my wife and I toured the Baltic Countries (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) in August 2008. After searching many websites for the ... view more available transportation options between these countries and for hotel arrangements, we discovered that there is an easier way to bypass the uncertainties in these new member countries of the European Union by having you prepare a complete itinerary for us. It included hotels in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius, 3-hour walking tours in each city with a local guide and transfers between cities by private car and driver. The total cost for a stay of six days in these countries and our return by plane from Vilnius to Helsinki came to about US$2,600.
Our itinerary was expertly arranged by Phil Teubler and provided us with a flawless, yet pleasant and unrushed opportunity to experience the beauty and splendor of these cultural heritage cities. Our private local guides were superb in their knowledge of history, current events and architecture, as well as their ability to express themselves in fluent English.
For sheer enjoyment and complete relaxation, leaving all arrangements in Phil Teubler's hands, I cannot think of a better deal for a visit to the Baltic Countries!

6  John Gauden 'The Great Baltic Experience'! 2009-04-24
I just wanted to write - now that we are back in Australia - and thank all the team for a superbly organized trip to the Baltic's including arrangements in ... view more Finland, St. Petersburg, Latvia and Estonia with a huge variety of travel arrangements, - car, rail, flights and ferry!
All was wonderfully well organized right from the first phone call I made to your office and first had a chat with you.
I have already told Heidi that her organizational ability is wonderful with great attention to detail - remember that you are talking about arrangements for two very seasoned travelers and both of us has been working in the travel industry for the past 30 years! Do pass on to her our congratulations for all she was able to do and arrange with all our changes and questions. It fulfilled all our expectations.
All the guides, the hotels and the travel arrangements were excellent and we had a truly memorable experience thanks to the trip's organization.
Thank you for the memories! We will be very happy to recommend your company to all our friends!

7  Mrs shaw Excellent Baltic Cities 2009-04-24
I'm just dropping you a line to let you know that we had a really great time on holiday. The hotels were lovely and all the tours and pick ups went ... view more smoothly despite the short notice! The city tour guides were all really knowledgeable and nicely idiosyncratic. The day tours from Vilnius and Tallinn were really enjoyable as well. I think if I had to pick a favorite it would be Tallinn but that may have been because the weather was so gorgeous.

8  Mr W Salisbury Baltic States and St. Petersburg Private Tour 2008-12-23
Phil,
We have now had a chance to catch our breath for a couple of days and I wanted to drop you a note letting you know how pleased we were with our recent ... view more trip to the Baltics and St. Petersburg. All of the arrangements you made were great. The hotels were very nice and wonderfully located in proximity to the best of sights! Each of the guides you arranged for us was charming, informative and had a thorough command of English. We enjoyed each of them and from talking to them got a bit of a feel about what life in the country was like as seen from their perspective. We probably spent the most time with Maria Schegoleva in St. Petersburg. She was simply delightful and had a marvelous command of idiomatic English. Each and every one of your ground transportation folks was always there when scheduled and were pleasant and informative. Even the midnight train to St. Petersburg was a great experience. We thank you for all of your personal attention and certainly would recommend you and your operation to anybody here in the US wanting to see the Baltics. Thanks for everything. Cathy and Bill Salisbury
