M18067 (Pty) Limited is a company registered in Botswana. It is owned by various shareholders in Southern Africa and Europe. It owns and operates M18067, and operates Nokalodi Tented Camp and Molema self-catering chalets/campsites all in the Tuli Block. M18067 was established in 1964. Responsible tourism forms a key part of our operating philosophy. We have active community programes supporting children in our neighbouring villages, including the donation of computing equipment to schools and hosting orphans from the region for an annual environmental awareness day. Using funds raised at a dinner to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Botswana’s independence and working closely with social workers in the Bobirwa district, M18067 sponsored the building of a fully-furnished house for a family of 8 orphaned children.
The lodge also takes a serious and conscientious approach to conservation. We have a resident conservationist and an on-site conservation center from which research, monitoring and species/ecosystem conservation projects are organized. Game population assessments, investigations of animal behavior patterns and soil/habitat conservation projects form the core of this effort. M18067 is a member of Bird life Botswana and Bird life South Africa and supports these organisations by recording and submitting data about threatened birds. We work closely with the local wildlife department on snare-clearing and anti-poaching patrols.
The lodge has policies in place to ensure sustainable use of our natural resources, including limiting wood collection, minimizing off-road driving, recycling waste and reducing the use of electricity. Our company is registered with the Botswana Training Authority (BOTA) as a conservation & hospitality training centre. In association with organisations such as Okavango Guiding School, we provide training for guides, rangers and hospitality staff. |
