The M18439 first opened its doors in the spring of 1898. The institution, founded by Stephen Salisbury III “for the benefit of all the people,” today houses more than 35,000 works of art representing more than 50 centuries of creative spirit.
In the fall of 2005, the M18439 began offering exciting travel and learning opportunities abroad and in the USA. Come with us to immerse yourself in the art and culture of another place and time. This is an opportunity to take the creative trip of a lifetime with an expert teacher-guide!
Since 1970, the M18439 has been providing year-round occasions to learn about and celebrate the arts. The Museum’s arts education and appreciation program promotes lifelong learning through creative classes and workshops that teach essential skills and inspire creativity.
