Thank you for the wonderful referral of Andrew. He was exceptional in every way, with a lot of interest and enthusiasm to discover and record in-depth both the ... view more Makonde peoples and the Wahadzabe. As a guide, he was well-organised and very well-outfitted and was on top of every situation, including managing and maintaining vehicles, finding interpreters and local guides, working flexible and long hours.

He also had a wonderful rapport and attitude with everybody we met, from top officials to village people and the hunter-gatherers themselves. His sophistication, good humour and intelligence enabled us to do a very successful photographic recording of both groups of people and each day we spent together was not only enjoyable for us and our team, but also for everybody we worked with.

Andrew is the kind of man that one would like to work with in every African situation and he's become a wonderful friend. He's not only a excellent photographers' guide and assistant, but interested in photography himself and willing to help make the best shoot possible in every situation. The very day we left him and his son Patrick, we began to miss them very much.
