M19227 Tour Company

High-end tours of the City of Light. With an official badge recognized by the State. I give tours in all museums such as the Louvre, Versailles, d'Orsay Museum, the Orangerie, the Cluny Museum, the Marmottan and so many others.

I also specialize in theme tours of neighborhoods like Montmartre and the Bohemian artists, Renoir, Picasso, Toulouse Lautrec, Suzanne Valadon. It focuses on great cafes and dance halls immortalized by these painters.

The Marais: with its stunning Mansions and the Mistresses of Louis XIV. Including many scandals of the 17th century that still echo through today. Poison and Passion is another crowd-grabber. Declared a protected area by the Minister of Culture, Andre Malraux, in 1961, the Marais boasts over 100 beautiful mansions. This walk spotlights life during the Middle Ages and the district’s heyday in the 17th century. Highlights include contrasting churches and, on a more macabre note, the home of a high-society serial killer. The final stop is the magnificent Place des Vosges , home to Victor Hugo, the Marquise de Sevigne and France’s former Minister of Culture Jack Lang.

Hemingway’s Lost Generation: The Latin Quarter

Ernest Hemingway spent 18 months in this charming neighborhood, stunningly evoked in “A Moveable Feast” and “The Sun Also Rises”. Meandering through the Mouffetard market streets reveals the influence of the Latin Quarter on Hemingway’s writing. Other brilliant minds associated with this area include James Joyce, George Orwell as well as Gertrude Stein and Ford Maddox Ford.

Pere Lachaise Cemetery

Make a pilgrimage to the celebrated cemetery that many have dubbed the empire of the dead and minge with the likes of Chopin, Oscar Wilde, Maria Callas and Jim Morrison. We’ll visit the highlights of this 108 acre lush oasis once situated outside Paris city limits. A surprisingly peaceful promenade through a rich panoply of French and international personalities now at rest.
