1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
M19438 has been legally established as a Galapagos Travel Agency since 2006, recognized by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism and the Chamber of Tourism of Pichincha, official organizations that regulate tourist activities in our country. We meant to open the gates towards an innovative and environmentally conscious tourism in Galapagos. Our intention was to make Galapagos an accessible destination without compromising its resources and natural beauties.
2. What is your company's mission?
We are committed to the protection of the environment, carrying out our activities with the least possible impact to nature. We understand that by leading an ecofriendly tourism we generate social awakening to the need to protect our natural resources at Galapgos and Ecuador mainland. We are confident that on this aim, together with good quality service, we are creating a unique and unforgettable experience for every visitor.
3. What does your company specialize in?
We specialize in guided Galapagos Land Tours – island hopping, multisport, diving and more- as well as on Galapagos Cruises. We also organize special trips on the main land such us Amazon Jungle or Quito and Surroundings.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Nikolay Mancheno Revelo has been working with the galapagos tourism community for more than 15 years now. Being born on Macas, capital of Morona Santiago province (Ecuadorian Amazon Jungle), as a child and adolescent he became close tourism activities, serving as a local guide to relatives and friends in a small family reserve by River Yuquipa. As a university student of Tourism Administrations and Natural Areas, Nikolay collaborated with two leading companies in Galapagos tourism until 2005, when, with great deal of knowledge and experience, M19438 was founded.
