We realize there is no single right or wrong way to travel. 1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?

The business started in 2007 when founders David and Rahul, friends since a year studying abroad in Germany decided to translate their passion for the road less travelled into an experience they would be able to share with others. Since then they have personally spent considerable time in each of their destinations in order to develop unique, exciting itineraries.

2. What is your company's mission?

To bring our clients to the most interesting off-the-beaten-track corners of the world in the maximum of comfort but with the most authentic experiences and to offer a well-rounded selection of tour styles as well as personalised service and advice to meet the intrepid traveller's needs.

3. What does your company specialize in?

Off-the-beaten-track tours in India, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Colombia, Mexico and Serbia. We have a range of trip styles including cultural, activity, festival, food, city break and wildlife tours. We offer small group departures as well as private and tailormade trips.

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?

David and Rahul studied business and German in Dublin, Ireland and Newcastle, UK respectively and their paths crossed when they studied together in Nuremberg, Germany in 1996. A shared passion for travel, particularly off-the-beaten-track destinations saw them travel to over sixty countries between them and in between they worked in a number of fields from finance and IT to managing an Irish pub. Finally a more sustainable path seemed possible when combining their passion for travel to form M19691. Now there are 50 tours available and great plans for the future.

5. What is your most popular travel package and why?

Northeast India and Eastern Turkey are both very popular destinations for us. Both underserved by larger companies and with unique cultural and historical circumstances as well as the opportunity to see the real sides of these countries and areas untouched by tourism, our clients who visit these regions find that they are exhilarating and exciting. And they come back as the best ambassadors for these regions we could ever hope for.
