M19816 was formed in the Year 2003 after its founder had been working for more then 12 years as a free lance Safari Guide. M19816 was formed after seeing what other companies offer to their clients and staying to the ABC routes we decided to get off the beaten tracks and make a difference in our services. In 2003 we came up with Select Safaris giving our clients a personal service, custom made safaris and value for money. With us you experience an unforgettable time in the bush!
We make sure that we meet you on arrival, to give a personal safari briefing and then we see you after the safari. By doing this we get to know the positive and the negative criticism of the safari. If the clients do not tell us then we shall never find out what is best for the safari. Serengeti is about 15500 sq kms, the animals are constantly on the move day by day. We follow them all year round in the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. This is our motto that we bring you closer to nature and we bring you closer to Africa. Our experience allows us to leave the main tracks so you can often experience our car and and the animal you like to see; undisturbed by many other vehicles.
We offer all types of safaris, Lodge or Luxury tented Safaris, mixed Lodge/Luxury tented camps with Select Tent Safari in the Serengeti National Park, budget camping, flight safari (flights between the parks to avoid long drives) and adventure tours. Mobile camps are mostly set on private campsites inside the park and we can choose the best place at the right time.

Questions and Answers
We are a small company but we give all our clients the highest standard of service.
1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
M19816 was officially registered as a safari outfitter company in November 2003, it started as a hobby as its founder Aafeez Jivraj loved to be in the wilderness. It has been officially in business since November 2003.
2. What is your company's mission?
Our mission is to give the best of the best what the African bush has to offer and keep away from ABC routes. We keep away from this routes and make the clients feel that they are the only ones in the wilderness of Serengeti and Tarangire National Park, however sometimes its difficult when watching cheetahs, and leopards and in Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater as the park areas are so small.
3. What does your company specialize in?
Camping Safaris is our Specialty, that is mixed with lodges, it brings you closer to Nature closer to Africa.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
M19816 was founded in the year 2003 by Aafeez Jivraj, who had then been working as a freelance and full time safari guide in various safari companies for more than 14 years. The time had come to change and give clients something very different from what the other safari outfitters were offering. It was time to bring clients closer to nature and give them a True African Experience.
The idea for M19816 was born out of a desire to make it easier to follow the Great Migration. By conducting mobile camping safaris, with small yet very inviting camps, we are able to set up and break down quickly when moving from one place to the other, giving clients freedom of movement and the authentic experience of Living Outdoors without sacrificing True Comfort.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
The most popular safari package that we offer is called Serengeti and the world of craters, this safari take you to Arusha National Park Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Eyasi National Park Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park and Lake Natron. One will do a full circuit safari with this safari program.
There is Culture, Walking Safari, Mountain climbing and nature all done in 16 days 15 days safari. You will get to see tribes (Maasai, Datoga, Hadzabe), Craters, do walking safari in Empakai Crater and Arusha National Park and one will also get to see a Live Volcano mountain in Lake Natron Mt. Oldonyo Lengai. The Oldest foot print that dates to about 2 million years, fossils and a Natural Jacuzzi that you can swim in.
The safari is mixed with Lodges, you get to get closer to nature. Take part in a Traditional hunt with the Hadzabe tribes men and get to see a traditional Datoga blacksmith at Lake Eyasi.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
The best compliment that we get from our clients: "Wow what an experience" the best was Camping "Out of Africa" Style in Private campsites just the clients and the crew. The biggest complain that we have had is too much good food in camp that is better than the food in the lodges. This has been above our expectations.

A perfect individual photo safari |

We made a two-week safari in November 2008 in Tanzania and M19816 made everything to make it a perfect and unique experience. We went on a camping safari with
... view more our guide Joseph and bushcook Paul who both were knowledgable and we felt well pampered.
Equipment was good, the car safe and Joseph a careful driver. Without Joseph we would have missed a lot of photo opportunities and he gave us all the time we needed for our photography.
We can recommend this supplier. |

I cannot express my deep gratitude for the experience, service all friendship provided by M19816 Team. From the first moment I met them and walked in the office
... view more I felt at home.
My first Safari (I was lucky enough to do two safaris) was magical, I was blessed to have Hugo as my guide and he took extra special care of me as a photographer and he showed to know were all the animals hide outs. The first trip was to Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Arusha Park. All were great though Arusha park I found it boring after the excitement of the migration in the Serengeti.
My Second Safari included Nasera Rock which was AWESOME! and Ndutu which was wonderful in its own way all along both the safaris I got to experience a variety of accommodation from regular campsites to Special campsites “Out Of Africa Style” (my Favorite!!! So romantic and charming) to high end luxury (Mbalageti is FANTASTIC) and I always felt incredibly well taken care of. In fact I am leaving Tanzania sadly having become part of M19816 Family!
I would recommend any of there safaris to any one, you can rest assure that you are in good hands here. Love the team!

Where do I start? Sanga our driver guide was efficient; it was great having Aafeez meet us prior to the safari to provide us the safari program. Our Safari took
... view more us to Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National park and to Ngorongoro Crater. The ride was bumpy and we got a free massage while going to Serengeti National Park. Time was short.
Next time we shall spend more time in Serengeti National Park 2 days is not enough. One full day is just a transit point from Lake Manyara it’s a long drive. We should have listened to Aafeez when we were putting the Itinerary together. Next time we need to take a safari for 6 days 5 nights.
We saw lots of animals but time was to short. Our accommodations was just great Kirurumu Luxury Tented Lodge in Lake Manyara (it was Tanzania under canvas), Seronera Wildlife Lodge we did not have hot water, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge: Big rooms, great Service!! Hot and cold water.
Thank you Tanzania

Warned in the guide books of dodgy safari operators and I can only say this is not one of them. M19816 have a great office “The office itself tell you that
... view more you are in a safari office“ it has an ambiance of its own!
Superbly looked after from start to finish even though we were at the budget end of the Market. Wildlife was fantastic only missed out on the exclusive Leopard. I will recommend you all about M19816 to fellow travelers.
They deliver what they promise and they did Mike & Aafeez keep it up for a great safari they are just great!!!

Complied 4 days 3 nights Safari with M19816 to Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The trip was very well organized and very flexible, good facilities and flexible
... view more program. Clearly tried and tested, good value for money of course the land scape / animals etc. can\'t be given a good price.
I was impressed the way that M19816 works with other companies to help me find a safari that matched my short days in Tanzania. As I was a single lady traveler, I was in good hands with Mike and Aafeez. A hint to Mike and his boss Aafeez: the company that starts to specialize in single travelers will make a mint there are lots of us around.
Lott\'s of Thanks
