M19838 is a luxury boutique resort including a private cay, located on the Caribbean island of Roatan. Truly an oasis for those who love the tropics.
1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
Our resort started about 8 years ago, when the owners, John and Milesse Kennedy, together with their partner, Hal Wyman, decided to invest in the 4 acre cay and shore property, with the intent on starting up a few little rental cabanas. Two one-bedroom bungalows were constructed, as well as dock space for the marina. The bungalows ended up being very successful, so two two-bedroom villas were added, as well as a restaurant area. A little under 3 years ago, the resort again expanded, with the addition of the ocean-view accommodations, dive shop, retail shop and spa rooms.

The mission of the company is to exceed our guests' expectations through exceptional service.
3. What does your company specialize in?

5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
Our most popular package is our weekly inclusive stay in a beachfront bungalow. The bungalows are ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway. They feature a king-size Heavenly bed, Balinese shower, kitchen and a covered porch stepping down to their own private beach area complete with hammock and lounge chairs.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
Our of our best compliments received was:
"To sum it all up, it is like a home. It's not like you're visiting a resort. It's like you are visiting family (that isn't crazy and does everything to make you feel at home.) I've traveled all over- France, Spain, Mexico, Canada...and not once can I say I made real friends. This is the place to go to find a true place in the world you can call your own. It's not really yours- but you'll feel like it when you leave."
