I have been a licensed tourist guide since 2003 who has organized and lead tours devoted to the discovery of Palladio's architecture and his world, and who loves to share with the visitors my knowledge and love of the great works designed by this architect. I have a University degree in "The History of Arte Veneta" which brought me to study the economic, social and cultural context and background of Palladio's time, which lie behind the success of his style.
My University thesis was on a villa by Palladio, for which I spent countless hours reading and consulting ancient and original manuscripts in the Vicenza Library's Archives. This has given me a great insight into the everyday life in the sixteenth century in Veneto.
I have attended a special international course organized by "Centro Internazionale di Studi di Architettura Andrea Palladio" in Vicenza where the world's experts on Palladio met to discuss Palladian architecture. I constantly keep up to date with the latest research on Palladio and on the history and art movements in Veneto in the sixteenth century.
My guided tours are not long and boring analytical lectures: my study and knowledge of the subject allows me to explain clearly and passionately to you the historical and artistic movements of those times. I love to meet people, to travel, the design and architecture of all époques, and enjoy sitting at the table eating fine food!
