Diane Drey, American business woman with 32 years in the food service business, has teamed up with Fuchsia Dunlop, British born Sichuan Chinese cooking expert and award winning cookbook author, to create a two week cooking program (given in English) at the Sichuan Institute of Higher Cuisine in Chengdu China.

The Sichuan Higher Institute of Cuisine is China's top professional cooking school and part of a tourism university run by the Chinese government.

Chengdu is one of China's eight largest cities with a population of over ten million people. It can be easily accessed via a short flight from Hong Kong, Shanghai or Beijing.

We're situated in the heart of Chengdu, and there is no better setting in which to get a true feel for Sichuan cuisine.

1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?

The Sichuan Higher Institute of Cuisine, was founded in 1985 and is operated by the Chinese government. The school is part of Sichuan Tourism College with 7,000 enrolled students of which 2,500 are in the culinary training program.In 2009 the tourism college relocated to a new campus, approx 30 KM (17 miles) southeast of city center. The campus holds many buildings, and a sports complex. In 2011 the college proudly opened a state-of-the-art building dedicate to culinary arts. Our program COOKING SCHOOL IN CHINA - began in 2010, we bring people to the Institute to study Chinese cooking and we work with the foreign exchange department within the school.

2. What is your company's mission?

We want to bring memorable experiences to our travelers by giving them the unique opportunity to study at the world-class culinary institute the Sichuan Higher Institute of Cuisine.

3. What does your company specialize in?

We offer a private and group Sichuan cooking classes at the Sichuan Higher Institute of Cuisine. Our package includes group dinners and tours to the most famous tourist sites in Chengdu.

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?

Diane Drey. Ms. Drey - has 32 years experience as an entrepreneur in the food industry. She ran a bottled water manufacturing and distribution company in the United States which relied on long-term customer relations. She sold the firm in 2008 and retired "young". Subsequently she started M20375, merging her love for travel, entrepreneurial skills and desire to make friends around the world.

5. What is your most popular travel package and why?

We offer private cooking courses and a two week intensive group program for English speaking travelers. Starting in the Fall of 2012 we will offer a semester abroad program as well.

6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?

For me, a cooking course seems to be the ideal holiday: you are busy all the time, you are learning about and being part of a very important element of the local culture; you will have a lot in common with the other participants because of your shared passion for food; and you are meeting both them and the Institute staff in an environment where you can get to know them through working with them.
