M20378 is a family owned Tour company begun by a Ugandan whose passion for her country led her to establish a way to share the wonders and
beauty of Africa.
1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
Since January 2001.
2. What is your company's mission?
It was formed to serve the needs of the world wide travel industry and those traveling specifically to Uganda and the African continent as a whole. We aim at providing an awareness of Uganda as a viable travel destination. We focus on customer satisfaction and offering value for money services.
3. What does your company specialize in?
We special in Tailor made safaris to East Africa mainly Uganda and Rwanda based on each clients individual needs, time scale and budget.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Founder: Ether Birungi Kyambadde.
Past activities: Working in the African tourism industry for a few years after ACCA graduation led Churchill’s owner, Ether Birungi Kyambadde, to witness the need for a medium sized, affordable tour operation run by someone whose roots originated in Africa. Consequently, in 2000, M20378 was born. By the Grace of God, Ether created the organization from the bottom
up, and has gone from operating a one-person Ugandan organization to establishing an international company. She was later joined by her brothers and husband. M20378 owns a fleet of vehicles, including a comfortable and luxurious 26-seat bus. Additionally, we employ 10 full-time staff and various part-time guides as needed. Headquarters are in Uganda, but M20378 has contact offices in the U.S.A, England, Germany, Japan, and South Africa.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
Our most travel package is CH 002 - The best of Uganda. It covers the best of what Uganda has to offer in the shorted time possible (10days) since an average holiday is 2 weeks. So plus the travel days, this trip works out best.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
They consider they are fortunate to have traveled to several other countries in Africa and
elsewhere Fred is keen on all wildlife, especially Elephants, and has made five trips to Uganda. He has used M20378 as his Ground Agent each time. He feels that M20378 offer good value for money and should things go wrong, as they sometimes will, he is confident that "M20378 Ladies will put things right. M20378 is big enough to cope and yet not so big that they lose the personal touch. Whilst he is never happier than when 'playing' with Elephants they have both visited the Mountain Gorillas in both Uganda and Rwanda. Something Elizabeth has described as the most awesome and unforgettable wildlife experience ever experienced.
