M20391 is a registered tour company with Dutch-Thai management based in Bangkok. We are licensed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand to operate tours under the nr. 14/00596. We specialize in private guided tours in Bangkok and surrounding provinces. Our company slogans “Taking the roads less traveled” and “Your personal guide in Thailand” describe us well.

Showing you the hidden treasures, the ins and outs of the authentic Thai life, that is what we like to do. And most important we like to give a positive contribution to the local communities, they need it more then the businesses who are active in the touristic places. Our tours are private, no others will join. This gives the opportunity to adjust the program and timing on your personal interests. Original tours with a personal touch.

1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?

As a fully licensed tour operator since 2009, we have a company license from the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Before that Air operated as a freelance licensed guide for 7 years.

2. What is your company's mission?

We like to organize private, authentic and original tours to great places with wonderful people in Bangkok and Thailand. Our goal is to take you off the beaten track to locations where you would never come on your own. To let you meet the beautiful Thai people, to show and practice the local traditions and explore the Unseen Thailand. And most important we like to give a positive contribution to these local communities, they need it more then the businesses who are active in the touristic places.

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?

Air graduated with a bachelor degree in Tourism and Hotel management. Has worked a long time as bicycle tour guide in Bangkok. Then got the opportunity to work as a host for a class leading North American travel agent. This gave her a broad experience to start her own company. Michiel his passion is photography, his work has been published in several papers and magazines. He has a strong background in project management. The management skills are applied to run the business in an efficient way. Together they bring a good mix of Asian charm and service with European style managed planning, quality and safety.

5. What is your most popular travel package and why?

Bangkok Highlights. A balanced mix of the most important highlights and local life in Bangkok in one day. Travel like a local with usage of all forms of public transport such as the exciting tuk tuks is great fun.

6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?

Thanks to Air, I got wonderful experiences in Bangkok. I ended up seeing places and eating foods that I couldn't even imagine existed. She never tried steering me towards any particular activity or a shop, didn't ration her time (quite opposite!) and graciously kept answering questions and give suggestions over the phone during my entire stay in Bangkok. In other words, Air went above and beyond of what one would expect from a private guide. I highly recommend Air to everyone who wants the best!

We felt that the trip was tailored to our interests. Air was particularly talkative and engaging on our trip which made the driving pass quickly. She shared information about Thai culture that was interesting to us. We were particularly interested in the hike and taking photos and Air even proved to be a skillful photographer. My overall impression of BKK Tours was friendly, personal, and professional. Arranging the tour prior to our departure from the US was advantageous.
