1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
We purchased the property in 2003 with the intent of making it into an ecolodge/retreat. After 1 ½ years of intense repairs and building we opened in 2005 with two cabins available. Susan and I wanted to provide a unique and remote, yet accessible, location for guests to explore and appreciate the undeveloped part of Costa Rica and the primary rainforest.
2. What is your company's mission?
M20555 is an environmentally sensitive 480 acre private preserve set in the undeveloped Golfo Dulce and Piedras Blancas National Park. It includes ½ mile of coastline on the Golfo Dulce and 465 acres of primary rainforest. Established in harmony with the natural environment, our goal is to provide to travelers seeking a unique location and experience, the opportunity to observe wildlife and natural wonders in a pristine and sustainable fashion while enjoying the comfortable and spacious accommodations.
3. What does your company specialize in?
We have many activities that incorporate different views and aspects of plant and animal life in the rainforest. With the diversity of plant and animal life so close, guests enjoy learning about the importance of a balanced eco system and what they can do to maintain it.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Harvey and Susan Woodard are the owners. Harvey and Susan have had property in Costa Rica since 1993. Basically used only for vacations, we learned to love the country and the people. In 2003 we decided to move to Costa Rica and follow our dream of living in the rainforest sustainably. Previous work experience for Harvey was in the US/Bahamas/Saudi Arabia as a Building Contractor. Susan has worked as Procurement Contract Manager for a large international online company as well as a self employed restaurant owner.

Most people come with an open itinerary and choose tours depending on their interests.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
When they return the next year and comment that last year was the best vacation they have ever had.
