1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?

We started in 2003. We have always felt that bike tours are the best way to experience a destination. The pace is perfect to explore towns and countryside, to meet people. We started with our own passion for bike touring in Europe. We didn’t want to pay the prices charged by many American tour operators, so we made direct contact with overseas companies. We found we could enjoy the same experience at a fraction of the cost. Often the experience was even better, since the European companies attracted clients from around Europe. As much as we love Americans (we’re based in Tennessee), we didn’t want to ride exclusively with Americans. Riding with a multi-national group was much more fun. We had so much fun arranging trips for ourselves and friends and developed such great contacts with the tour operators, that we decided to launch our company. Now we can share our passion for bike tours in Europe (and beyond) with clients across the world.

2. What is your company's mission?

Our mission is to be the one-stop resource for bicycle tours worldwide and to provide easy access to high-value, high-experience bicycle tours operated by companies based as close to the tour location as possible.

3. What does your company specialize in?

Overseas bicycle tours.

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?

Our company was founded by current president/owner Jim Johnson. Jim has an extensive background in travel and bicycle touring that goes back to his teen years. Jim was a freelance travel writer for nearly 20 years before starting his own company and did much of his research exploring from a bike. Jim also worked in public relations, marketing and website planning for a Fortune 100 company and has applied many of his business background to the company's current experience.

5. What is your most popular travel package and why?

The Danube Bicycle Path is by far our most popular tour package due to it being an easy route, traveling along a dedicated bicycle path through very scenic areas. It's also very low priced and an excellent value.

6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?

We hear it again and again: "This was the best trip we've been on" and "This was the family trip we'll be talking about 30 years from now."
