1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
I (Ake) am a new supplier in the InfoHub program (joined on March 12, 2012), but I have been working as a certified tour guide since 1999, when I thought of taking advantage of my national license as a tour guide, my house’s proximity to Kyoto, and my overseas experience.
2. What is your company's mission?
Providing good quality private English-speaking guide services in ancient Japanese cities. I would like my clients to experience warm and peaceful atmosphere unique to those cities. I can propose a number of courses full of historical, cultural stories, and most of all, with lots of funs. However, I welcome customized tours as well. I hope that my clients will make the most of their opportunity in Japan, by admiring seasonal beauties, experiencing Japanese cultures, touching Japanese history, tasting Japanese food, enjoying shopping and more.
3. What does your company specialize in?
Specializing in English-speaking private guide service for small groups with hospitality and professional spirit. The sightseeing course can be optional, customizable and flexible.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
I (Ake) am the owner of this guiding service. In the past, I was an English teacher at several schools and companies. Occasionally I worked as a translator or an interpreter as well.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
The most popular courses have been often those focusing on Arashiyama or Higashiyama Kyoto on/off beaten tracks. They are quite scenic, full of historical, cultural stories & activities.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
Although not Buddhists, we could stay at those temples far much longer. Our hearts were filled with serenity and peace. Your choices were so nice and considerate to our mood.
