1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
M21270 started in 2011 to provide locals and out of town travelers once-in-a-lifetime extreme adventure vacations. We are proud to showcase parts of California that even many of the locals never find. From the desert to the ocean and everywhere in between, we provide the ultimate San Diego experience.
2. What is your company's mission?
When it comes to adventure, we believe that there are two types of people: Those who say "I've always wanted to..." and those who can say "I have!". We are dedicated to making more people who 'have'!
3. What does your company specialize in?
Our company specializes in active, hands-on adventure vacations in San Diego. Each trip is limited to a maximum group size of 8 to ensure personalized attention and plenty of hands-on experiences. We also take care of all travel logistics, so our guests can have a worry-free, hassle-free vacation.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
M21270 was founded by lifelong San Diegan Michael Baum. Michael has worked in the outdoor recreation industry since he was 14 years old. As an outdoor specialist, Michael has held the positions of summer camp counselor and director, high ropes lead facilitator, and outdoor educator in the San Bernardino mountains. He has had many adventure responsibilities, including a zip-line instructor, teambuilding lead facilitator, certified archery instructor, certified rock climbing instructor, and snorkeling guide. Michael's passion is adventure travel, and also volunteers at a local high school teaching improvisational comedy.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
Our most popular travel package is our Weeklong Jet Set Adventure. This 5-day vacation has some of our most thrilling and unique experiences, including Jetpack flights, high ropes and zip-lines, and trapeze lessons.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
The most satisfying compliment would probably be our guest who participated in our weekend trip, and immediately exclaimed she will have to do our weeklong trip! We appreciate all our compliments, but there is something special about knowing that our client had such an amazing time that they were immediately wanting to travel with us for longer. We look forward to traveling with them soon!
