M05347 was founded in Zurich, Switzerland, in the beginning of 1990. At the end of 1990 it started working in Cochabamba, Bolivia. The director, Joaquin Hinojosa, born in Cochabamba in 1947, studied linguistics and publicistics in Zurich and afterwards taught Spanish and Quechua there during 8 years in different language schools and institutes. We have been working with international agencies on a commission basis since 1990.
The school is located in the Juan XXIII neighborhood, 10 min. by bus from the center of Cochabamba. Juan XXIII was founded by a miners’ cooperative in the mining center Catavi about 30 years ago.
M05347 offers Spanish, Quechua and Aymara lessons at all levels. In addition to learning the language the student will achieve a better awareness of reality in Bolivia and Latin America. Advanced students may specialize on Bolivian and Latinoamerican literature or a subject of their choice (e.g. literature, economy, environment, history, Bolivian indigenous cultures, health, medical or other technical issues and terms, etc.) We try to satisfy the personal needs of learning the language and learning about another culture and other subjects.
The school also offers guided excursions and afternoon activities upon request (not included in the price of the classes), and arrangement for voluntary work (without fee). We have experience teaching primary, secondary, high school and university students, tourists, professionals and executives of international enterprises, embassies and development agencies, governmental and non-governmental and religious organizations. |
