M05458 is the University of Amsterdam’s language institute. We are a subsidiary of UvA Holding BV, the university’s commercial arm. Our Academy has a long-standing tradition of providing language courses to individuals, institutions and businesses. Our Academy organizes language courses for companies, organizations and individuals.
We offer a wide range of language services, specifically geared towards your needs. We offer standard language courses with open enrollment and specialize in tailor-made, in-company courses. Many companies are already enjoying our services. We offer open enrollment courses to people interested in learning a language in groups that meet on a regularly scheduled basis; we also offer tailor-made, in-company courses for groups and individuals. Our office and classrooms are located in the center of Amsterdam.
* Open enrollment courses: M05458 offers open enrollment language courses in the following languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish. You can do an intensive daytime course as well as a non-intensive evening course. All our classes follow a set schedule, ensuring a structured and systematic approach to language learning; the group dynamic adds extra impetus to this process.
Regularly assigned homework prepares participants for practical communicative activities during the lessons, so that language learned becomes language to be used outside the classroom quickly. Our approach covers all aspects of learning a language, which means you can count on a challenging, intensive and practical course.
* International standard: Our courses operate within the European Framework of Reference, the internationally recognized standard for language levels developed by the Council of Europe. Each course is paired with a level from this framework, which gives you a concrete indication of what you can expect to be capable of doing in the target language by the end of the course. This level will be stated on the certificate you receive at the end of the course. |
