Guest rooms and suites have recently been redesigned by Vermont's own designer - Susan Sargent. Founded in 1980, the institute provides culinary training patterned after the medical-school model of real-life intensive learning. The institute's educational model - unique in the culinary world - features small classes and real-life experience in our restaurants and banquet facilities. The two restaurants and banquet facilities in our inviting Burlington Vermont hotel serve as working classrooms for future restaurant professionals. Working under the watchful eye of renowned chefs and managers, who never supervise more than seven students at a time, students perfect basic and complex techniques through hands-on practice.
Dining is an unforgettable event. Each of the Inn’s restaurants - Butler’s and The Tavern - offers gourmet cuisine prepared by 190 chefs and students of the acclaimed New England Culinary Institute. Butler’s features gourmet American Cuisine while The Tavern features Casual American Fare.
