1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
I started my business in 2005 after working for another tour operator who went bankrupt.
2. What is your company's mission?
To share Sydney's outstanding attractions with overseas visitors in a more personal way than they could achieve on an organised bus tour. I like them to get a feel for the place and the people and cover what interests they have.
3. What does your company specialize in?
Small customized day tours around Sydney, north to the Hunter Valley, west to the Blue Mountains and south to Jervis Bay.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
My name is Philip Holland and I am the owner, driver and guide for M05577. I worked for Qantas at Sydney Airport for 15 years followed by time working for three other Sydney tour companies. I have also been a local guide for Abercrombie and Kent.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
Sydney day tours, mainly because people don't have enough time to venture further afield, wich is such a shame when there is so much to offer outside Sydney!
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
"This has been one of the best experiences of our lives!" This was for a couple whom I guided around Sydney and the Blue Mountains and whom I also married while they were here - as well as being a tour guide I am also a marriage celebrant, or officiant!
