1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
M05879 was established in 1986. The founder was a keen adventurer and hill walker who wanted to share his passion of the history, culture and nature that shaped the Highlands and Islands with other people. He first took friends and neighbors, but after convincing himself he might have a little niche he started organizing day walks for anyone who was interested in joining him for a small fee. The customer base grew steadily and the logical next step was multi day walking holidays. This experience formed the fundamentals of the company how it operates now.

Our mission is to provide an unforgettable adventure offering innovative, exciting and sustainable small group walking holidays in the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
The popularity of walking holiday packages vary from year to year. This year we have seen a great interest in trips to both Orkney and Shetland, compared to Harris and Lewis the previos year.

We recieve many excellent compliments but one that sums up a trip is:
"have hugely enjoyed the two on Shetland and Orkney. Angela (guide) was great, the scenery was spectacular especially in Shetland. Bonus - 2 pub evening enjoying fiddle fenzy in Lerwick".
