Our Language Center in Palermo, established in 1975 by Mrs. Pat Durden, the present Director occupies the ground and basement floors of a ninety-year-old block of flats in the city center. It is near the main square and only a 20 minute bus ride from the beach.
Classes are designed for students of all nationalities who wish to learn Italian either for work, college or tourism. Classes are entirely in Italian and are oriented towards the communicative development of students.
The lessons explore the different aspects of the language including: speaking, reading, writing and listening. Classes are stimulating and entertaining and teachers use the most up-to-date, task-based methodology. Teachers have all passed specialized training courses to teach Italian as a foreign language and are all native speakers. During the year they are also obliged to attend teacher development seminars. |
