1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
Our company has been operating since the mid 1990's. Prior to this, I worked as an independent tour guide for several years, but was eventually unable to handle the volume of requests I received without help. I started looking for other guides with the necessary experience, knowledge and skill to represent the high standards my clients had come to expect Since then, the company has continued to grow, as our reputation spreads around the world!
2. What is your company's mission?
Our mission is to introduce people to the rich Jewish heritage of Prague, and to show them the legacy left in this beautiful city, so long inaccessible to many outsiders thanks to the Communist regime, as well as spread knowledge of the activities of Prague's regrowing Jewish community today.
3. What does your company specialize in?
We specialise in tours of Jewish heritage sights in Prague and the rest of the Czech Republic, but we're able to show our clients anything they're interested in visiting anywhere in the country. We provide personalised packages based around the specific needs and requests of our clients.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Ljuba Poleva is the founder, manager and cheif guide. She has worked as a private tour guide here since 1990, starting almost as soon as the Communist regime ended and the country opened up to outside visitors. She is fully licenced by the City of Prague and the Prague Jewish Museum, and has two decades experience of guiding diverse visitors from all over the world.
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
Our most popular tour is the tour of Prague's Jewish Quarter. At one time, this city was home to the largest population of Ashkenazi Jews anywhere in the world. The community was mostly destroyed by the Nazis, but the ancient synagogues were preserved. Prague is a must-see destination for those interested in Europe's Jewish history, and our company has worked for years to gain a reputation of expertise in this subject. It's our main speciality so our clients can be confident our guides know their topic and know how to communicate it to clients.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
