Since 1985, M06037 has been providing fully outfitted and guided multi-day (camping) canoe trips in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Our mission is to provide our guests a safe, educational and entertaining back country sea kayak or canoe trip, giving them an appreciation for the environment. We are also members of the professional association for outfitters, America Outdoors.

M06037 is licensed by the states of Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. All or part of this operation is conducted on public lands under special permits from the US Bureau of Land Management. Our guides are the people that make the difference. They are mature, competent, fun-loving individuals that elevate a good trip into a great one! All are successful in their own careers and have chosen to guide with Centennial for the pure joy of working with people and being on the river.

Our guides come from careers as geologists, teachers, professional photographers, information system engineers, lawyers, nurses, etc. Many of our 45+ guide staff have been with us for years. All have completed an American Canoe Association Certification course in river canoing and hold current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR cards. Many of our guides also hold Wilderness First Responder certification. Safety is our primary concern and our guides are very experienced.

We’re a 27 year old company started by a geologist doing geology trips on the Colorado River.

To provide safe and educational guided overnight canoe trips in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.

We specialize in education and fun on the river.

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?

The founder was Fred Welsh, who was a geologist.

The Gunnison and Colorado Rivers because they offer outstanding scenery and are ideal for novice paddlers.
