In 2002, Carole Gray-Weihman founded M06075 in Petaluma, CA. A year later, she co-founded with her business partner and mentor, Camille Przewodek: l'Atelier aux Couleurs: the Art Academy, "A Master Plein Air Program" in Petaluma, CA. She and her mentor teach ongoing weekly classes at their school as well as provide workshops by master painters from across the country. Carole has had ten years of experience traveling abroad and studying with master plein air instructors of a variety of disciplines. Carole is a student in as many as 10 plein air workshops a year and facilitates at least 7 or 8 a year. From her experience, she has learned not only about quality and service when it comes to facilitating workshops, but the importance of creating a space for extraordinary group dynamics. Carole's goal is not only to provide the participant with the highest caliber instruction, but also inspiration and a maintained level of excitement for painting that will carry them far beyond their workshop experience.
Carole is also committed to donating financial support to those in need. Each workshop offered by l’Atelier aux Couleurs serves a purpose to help a community in need. For her upcoming Segovia tour, L'atelier aux Couleurs: Plein Air Painting Tours will donate 50% of its Profit to AmeriCares for Hurricane Relief Work.
Carole firmly believes in the importance of traveling in small groups with most of her tours having a maximum size of 12 travelers. This provides the group the advantage of security and intimacy while still allowing them to be flexible and spontaneous. More importantly, it means her tours are more sensitive to the fragile local cultures the group travels within and can access places and events not available to larger groups. |
