We are a Bucharest based Romanian - American tour operator and a member of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). We specialize in high quality tours of Romania and Transylvania. Our tours focus on local culture and traditions, architecture, World Heritage sites, history and nevertheless, the changes that occurred in Romania since the fall of Communism.

Up-to-date: For almost 19 years we specialize in authentic, hand-crafted, unique tours to Romania. We take great pride in thoroughly investigating all sights, accommodations, restaurants and various hosts such as the local artists. Except for guiding our own tours we each year spend at least two weeks exploring the cities and villages and wandering the small roads of Romania so we always know what is worth seeing and adding to our itineraries. Our goal is to offer value and insights into a relatively unknown part of Europe which is now being rediscovered.

Why are our tours so different: Our quality tours are private and small groups only (with a maximum of 8 people). We take traveling to a more personal level. It allows you – the traveler - to sightsee and also meet locals, participate in local activities and hands-on experiences that could not work with larger tour groups. A home hosted dinner with a private folklore show in Maramures is a first hand cultural interchange. The same is the unique egg painting demonstration in Bucovina before heading the breathtaking frescoed monasteries. You will enjoy local food specialities. Then, the visits to colorful local markets are always a highlight. You'll get to meet the locals on many of our itineraries. All our tours are thought as a combination of many of the popular sites with a generous portion of those smaller off the beaten track places and cultural connections. On most tours we stay a minimum of two nights in the same location.

Guided tours: all our tours are led by specialist driver tour guides. That is from Day 1 of the tour until the end. Our few (hand picked) English speaking tour guides have excellent references and specialize in private and small group tours. Their expertise, enthusiasm and a deep knowledge of the country and places
will add great value to the trip. They can touch subjects such as from history and architecture to current politics. (All our guides are Univeristy graduates).

Departure Dates and Group Size: Our goal is to offer unique quality tours for couples and small parties. We seldom offer set departure dates, so that you can pick the right time for your tour, any time you want. Quite many of our tours are tailor-made and customization is our strong point. We can create your own custom journey based on specific interests, budget and dreams.

We have our own transportation, both sedans and minivans. We also offer combination tours to some of the surrounding countries such as Bulgaria, Hungary, the Republic of Moldova and the Ukraine.

Our tours have recently been featured on the Travel Channel in a travel documentary on Romania. Over the years we have consulted for various travel guide books such as Frommer's and Fodor's.
