Tim Means, the founder and president of the company, started his career leading groups through the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River and founded M06399 in 1974. To say he has a passion for the preservation and natural wonders of Baja is an understatement. In addition to running what has become the leading eco-adventure company in Baja, he is also actively involved with philanthropists, NGOs and various agencies in Mexico to preserve the natural environment of the Baja region.

With his company’s own contributions and success in engaging other donors, he has been instrumental in preserving thousand of acres which are now designated as nature preserves. Along with The Nature Conservancy, he recently led the effort to obtain funding for the creation of the Isla Espiritu Santo Natural Marine Park, preserving a critical habitat and limiting access with user fees and permits.

Our knowledge of Baja allows us to keep our itineraries flexible and spontaneous and our accommodating staff takes care of all day-to-day details, such as cooking and housekeeping, so you can experience Baja at the pace you prefer. One of our corporate goals is to provide employment to Baja’s local people, whose warmth and good nature set the tone for our excursions.
