Our company is a philosophy as much as a company, offering wonderfully unique experiences beyond the conventional for the last ten years. Founded and run by people that have chosen a sublime corner of the planet to live and share with others, our program goes beyond traditional tourism to allow the visitor an appreciation of "The Great Land", impossible with standard, cursory tours. With itineraries from remote wilderness travel to general sightseeing and activities from river rafting and sea kayaking to dog sledding, the emphasis of each is to leave the beaten path and steep in what makes Alaska so supremely special, whether from a hideaway lodge or a tent.
Our groups are the smallest in the industry with a maximum of eight, allowing us to visit undeveloped destinations without the facilities designed to accommodate large numbers. Our guides are among the most delightfully knowledgeable as each is a long time Alaskan with unique experience in their field, and not simply a college student from elsewhere seeking summer employment. The company is based in Hope, and has built and operates guest facilities in the tiny end-of-the-road gold rush towns of Hope on the Kenai Peninsula, and remote Eagle on the Yukon River.
These consist of new and carefully restored historical sleeping and dining cabins, to allow guests to linger a little longer in the places we consider among the most special. Our company offers programs throughout the state with itineraries ranging from specific wilderness activities with a concentration on a specific region, to comfortable sightseeing overviews staying only in established facilities. Fixed date departures range from 5 to 16 days in length and all-inclusive prices from $1425 to $3495, with custom itineraries also available.
