|Questions and Answers
Remember, we don't go everywhere, but everywhere we go we travel in style!
1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
Join our 40th year touring Europe. It’s an anniversary celebration with a season of special tours.
Beach’s is the oldest and longest running motorcycle touring company in the world. Since our inception in 1972, there has been at least one member of the Beach family on every European tour. We don’t simply hire a guide and send you on your way. We travel with you to turn your dreams into memories!
As Beach’s MCA is an official Travel Partner of BMW Motorrad you are guaranteed the latest model BMW motorcycles, each equipped with a pre-programmed GPS. Our partnership with Sixt brings you the newest models of convertible sports cars. Our long standing relationships with our hotel partners mean you are treated like family each evening.
Don’t travel with a hired guide. Travel with the masters of European motorcycle riding!
2. What is your company's mission?
Beach's is the company which has always set the standard. By focusing on a few superb destinations we are able to offer tours truly a cut above those of the competition. We don't aim to be the World's leading motorcycle touring company - only the World's best.
3. What does your company specialize in?
For 40 years M06851 has specialized in motorcycle tours of the European Alps. For the last 10 years we have been running specialized tours of Italy.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Robert and Elizabeth Beach founded M06851 in 1972. Over half of all who take part in one of our Tours, come back again. Every tour, whether your first or, as in the case of Neil Huffman his 22nd, is a family reunion. You could be the long lost cousin or the relative who knows everyone's name, but you are never alone.
Bob Beach simply loves motorcycles and can't picture either working or playing, without being around his bikes. Formerly the importer for Krauser, the touring side of the business was said at the time to be more of a "hobby" that grew. And collecting and riding bikes has always been a "passion." One of his favorite acquisitions, a 1909 Yale motorcycle was featured in the very first American Motorcycling (the AMAs magazine) in 1947 when he rode it around his college campus. He is a veritable encyclopedia of motorcycles and their history. BMWs, of course, are his specialty (having personally owned about three dozen of them!).
5. What is your most popular travel package and why?
All of our tours are our most popular, and 60% of our tour members are repeat clients.
6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?
"There's no way I can adequately describe how great an Alpine motorcycling adventure is. You really need to experience it yourself. All I can say is this:
I've toured over 1.2 million miles on several continents and in over a dozen countries, and this tour was, without any doubt, the greatest of my lifetime."
