Questions and Answers
Enjoy absolute peace and quiet at our nature-based Solar Bed and Breakfast and Wildlife Sanctuary!

1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?

M09733 was founded in 2007 after the owner Uwe did retire from his adventure touring business. And getting sick of moving rental properties (as a matter of fact he had 6 moves during the 8 years of his touring business!) it was time to settle and to establish something very unique.

2. What is your company's mission?

The mission of M09733 is to establish a haven for the native flora and fauna, and to share this haven with the travellers at the same time. Over the years M09733 has become one of the most outstanding eco-systems in Central Australia due to massing weeding, extensive planting [of at least 800 trees, bushes and plants!], new ponds, and also completely solar! As a matter of fact, the number of bird species is increased from initial 35 to at least 90 and still counting!

3. What does your company specialize in?

M09733 offers travellers accommodation and a property for people who love nature and their piece and mind. The personalised service on top helps our guests to enjoy Central Australia at its very best. On top of the B&B we offer tour advice or maps/insider advice for the self-driving, any airport/town transfers, even candle lit dinner under the stars, home-made cakes, and for the bird watchers even a property bird field guide in 7 languages in each room!

4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?

The owner and founder Uwe Path was born in communist East Germany, eventually escaped to the West Germany before the wall came down, and finally landed up in Australia in 1996. Always interested in nature and tourism he eventually succeeded to start his own tour guiding business but after retiring from that he's now found his little haven he likes to share with others.

5. What is your most popular travel package and why?

To see Central Australia away from the crowds we recommend to stay at our B&B (max 10 guests) and a tour (even self-driving) through the Centre following our insider advice to the the real Outback.

6. What is the best compliment you received from a client?

If people thank me dearly that I share my paradise with them and that the time on my property is the highlight of their whole Australia holiday! :)

Uwe arranged a tour for my husband and I that incorporated rock art. He was also knowledgeable about the environment, aboriginal use of plants, and birds in ... view more this area. He provided a very nice vegetarian lunch and the tour was well organized. He promptly answered all my questions by email, and was prompt in picking us up in Alice Springs. I would have preferred paying for the tour by credit card rather than bank transfer, but that would be my only recommendation for change. We did not do the Chambers Pillars tour, but Uwe arranged a special one day rock art tour for us.

Overall the trip was great! It was very hot, but the pace was good and we saw a lot in a short time. Uwe was awesome! His knowledge and experience made our trip one we won't forget!
