1. How long has the business been operating and how did it start?
M09846 got its name after Mark Twain's hero who preferred to choose adventure rather than living ordinary, boring small town life. It started as a canoe club called Riverfree, formed in 1989 by a group of kayak and nature enthusiasts who led it to become the best and most successful adventure tour operator in the country.

M09846 mission is to provide high quality outdoor recreation, culture and adventure travel experience in Croatia with the purpose of environment protection, education, development of eco tourism and better quality of life for both the clients and their hosts.

M09846 was the pioneer in low impact rafting, canoeing, kayaking, sea kayaking and bicycling as commercial activity in Croatia. Adventure sailing cruises, small group tours and other forms of travel with multi sport activities included followed, including walking/hiking, caving, snorkeling, scuba diving. Human, wind or water powered only.
4. Who is the founder or owner of the company and briefly describe his/her past activities?
Zeljko Kelemen, owner/manager/team leader. Air traffic and air nautics engineer – professional pilot by education. Over four decades experience in white water kayaking and rafting plus bicycling, hiking and sailing, 20 years experience in travel business. BOD member of America Outdoors and International Rafting Federation, founder of Croatian Rafting Association and Riverfree Club. Trained on America Outdoors seminars on marketing, Internet marketing, management and risk management. Croatian rafting expedition leader to Zimbabwe, South Africa, Costa Rica, India. IRF certified raft guide, instructor and asessor, coastal kayaking instructor, sailing skipper, photographer and writer.
