Introduce yourself to the vertical world of ice climbing in the summer on the Matanuska Glacier, the largest road accesible glacier in Alaska. Our stepping stone approach will have you getting vertical in no time.

Your Itinerary

Day 1:
Meet at our office located at the terminus of the Matanuska Glacier. You will be outfitted in climbing gear and then set off for the glacier. You will learn the proper use of crampons, ice axes and ropes. After some introductory excercises you can challenge one of the many majestic ice walls.
