This is a trip of a life time for fly fisher folk! The kayaks provide an unobtrusive and fun way to discover our favorite fishing spots and we also have a motor skiff along to help us get to or from some of the more out of the way place. We camp on beautiful Isla Espiritu Santo off La Paz, in Baja, Mexico. Our base camp for 6 nights is on a beautiful beach where besides the great fishing you can enjoy hiking up a canyon, great snorkeling, and of course our delicious culinary delights with our own chef, Alvaro (fresh fish features highly on the menu!) and a happy hour each afternoon to relax and enjoy the incredible Baja sunsets.
The trip will be led by Gary Bulla our saltwater fly-fishing specialist. Gary has been plying the Baja waters for more than ten years, but the combination of great fishing and spectacular scenery has made Espiritu Santo his favorite destination . Green Jacks, Pargo, Jack Crevalle, Topsail Pompano, Black Skipjack, Yellow Fin Tuna, Pacific Bonita, Ladyfish, are to mention just a few of the fish that Gary and our previous guests have landed by kayak! At this time of year there is a good chance of connecting with some Dorado and you never know what else - the Gulf of California is one of the most diverse fishing grounds in the world!!
