This is a splendid tour for those who wished to cruise along the Yangtze River and at the same time interested in religious relics and practices in China. Early Buddhism in Tibet, the “Roof of the World”, was in fact a mixture of both Lamaism and Buddhism. Prayer flags and spinning prayer wheels that carry early Lamaism elements still remain important in modern Tibetan Buddhism. Besides its religious character, Buddhism also has a powerful political role in Tibet, with prestigious lamas controlling over the region during the 7 th century. Your tours to some of the most remarkable temples, such as the Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery and Jokhang Temple will showcase various Buddhism artifacts and essential ceremonies. Along the way, enjoy the autonomous region's astonishing landscape, which is comprised of spectacular snow-capped mountains at high elevations, rivers, lakes, wildlife and plants.
